FR Maintenant résident en Belgique, le baryton canadien Matthew Zadow a vu sa carrière se développer rapidement grâce à ses récents débuts à la Monnaie (Commissionario/ Dottore Grenvil dans La Traviata de Verdi et Jonas Fogg dans Sweeney Todd de Sondheim), au Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (Masetto, Don Giovanni de Mozart, et Carmina Burana, Orff), à l'Auditorio Alfredo Kraus Las Palmas (Johannespassion, Bach), au Concertgebouw Royal d'Amsterdam (Matthäuspassion, Bach) au Nationale Opera d’Amsterdam (Baron Wurmerhelm, Le Joueur de Prokofiev). Son répertoire dans le domaine de l’oratorio et concert comprend pratiquement toutes les grandes œuvres pour baryton et basse, allant du baroque au contemporain. Particulièrement attaché à la musique de J.S. Bach, il a chanté toutes ses grandes œuvres ainsi que de nombreuses cantates.
