About the event

Mozart's Requiem has continued to fascinate audiences since its composition in the 1790s.  Its origins are mysterious; it is not known who anonymously commissioned it, and Mozart died in December 1791, before he could complete the work.  Much of what we now know as the Requiem was completed by Süssmayr, a pupil of Mozart's.  Despite - or perhaps partly because of - this mystery it remains one of the most moving works in the choral repertoire. Matthew is pleased to make his debut with Vivace Klassiek Koor and conductor Kees van der Linden. Requiem in D minor K626 (1791) - W.A. Mozart (1659 - 1691)

Lux aeterna (1995) - Morten Lauridsen (geb. 1943)

Towards the Unknown Region (1907) - R. Vaughan Williams (1872 - 1958)
